Tutorial Request

Hello everyone,

Just a quick one!

If you have any request for tutorials then please leave comments below.

I have got a few request already in the pipeline such as; Isadora and Open Sound Control (OSC) and Colour tracking in Isadora. I will continue to make tutorials but if you can think of any then please let me know.

    • Hi,

This is quite a complex set up as it says they use thermal tracking. Not sure why as ‘normal’ motion tracking (as in blob detection that Isadora uses) would have been fine for this project.

Isadora could be uses for the tracking of the users from above, but I would suggest taking a look at this software called ‘emotion‘. It’s free and relitevly easy to use.

I suggest this software because in the video you see objects (such as flowers) use an attraction effect, for example as the person sweeps the flowers they move away but then come back – this is a gravity attraction effect. An effect that Isadora can not actually do.

      Hope this helps.

  1. Hi Skulpture,
it’s e again, this time i’m going to ask you a quick basic tutorial on 3d particles actor. I’m finding many difficult with this. May you explain the basic fuction how to use it? I catch the opportunity to invite you to take a look to my projects, i’d like to have your opinion about it. Thanks 4 alll and best wishes

  2. Hey Skulpture!

I just joined your blog, and it’s super to find so many inputs for using Isadora in one place! Thanks for that!!
I place this comment to see if you can help me on making a difference key in Isadora (as you could find it in fx. Adobe Premiere Pro). I have made a set up using the Freeze actor, the Effect Mixer set to diff and the video inverter actor. The result looks ok…with a white background, but if there is other colors on the “frozen” picture the colors act up. How could I get the colors of the video being keyed in on top of the “frozen” ellement to look normal??
Please see a screenshot of my setup here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13131511/Sk%C3%A6rmbillede%202012-07-03%20kl.%2012.11.02.png

    Hope to here from you!

    All the best

    • Hi,

Thanks for your kind words. How about desaturating your image so it is *only* greyscale? That way the colours will not come through. The actor is called Desaturate.

Give it a go and let me know how it goes.
